가까운 미래
당신의 집이 물고기 집이 될지도 모릅니다
지구의 온도는 지금도 올라가고 있습니다.
The video clip, which is linked, is a television commercial that was created by students from a Korean university. The video starts with a family that seems to be returning from a trip, when the father opens the door, he finds a man with a fish head in his house. The delightful music changes in to a mysterious tone and creates a gloomy mood. He turns around the street and realizes that everyone in the neighborhood has turned in to fish. Then the slogan that says ‘In the future, your home might change to a fish bowl’ appears, and a following phrase saying ‘the temperature of earth is still rising’ emerges, which warns the viewers of global warming. The concept of applying what might happen in the future to daily life brought a huge effect. Even though the unrealistic idea that everyone turning in to fish can makes the audience feel threatened and real. At the first time it can be a little silly to see people with fish heads on, but the warning that tells the audience they might have to live under water gives a strong message to them and makes them concern about the global warming. I think that not illustrating the intention of the campaign clearly at the beginning of the video clip makes the audience curious and want to watch the rest of it. Most of the spectators will not understand what it means at the first time, but when the slogan appears, they would totally understand and agree with the commercial. Even though college students have created it, it looked very professional and the concept of the advertisement was terrific enough to cover up the sloppy costumes, acting, and quality.
