Biography of SSK

Jennifer Shin
I was born in New Haven, Connecticut in the year 1990, July 1st. I lived there for a while and came to Korea when I was six years old. At the first time it was hard to adapt the new environment and language. Communication was the hardest part for me, but I made it anyways. Even though my Korean was not that good, I was sent to a public Korean school. It was hard for me at the first time but I made some friends and pretty much enjoyed my years in Korean school. One of the biggest changes in my life was coming to TCIS. Although I was born in the states I attended Korean elementary, junior high, and high schools for my whole life. Suddenly going to a English speaking school was a big switch for me. There are some parts I like about this school and some parts I don't, but I stopped missing my Korean school life anymore.

Jadie Kim
I was born in Texas and I lived there for 5 years. Then I moved to Korea and stayed here until 7th grade. After that I went back to the states and lived in New York and California. I did not like living in the states because I was too far away from my hometown and felt like I was losing my identity. Now attending TCIS, an international school in Korea, I am much more assured and statiesfied with myself. The great part about TCIS is that I don't have to try to act like a 'Pro-American' anymore because TCIS repects me as a Korean American who loves Korea so much that sometimes appears to despise the US! Haha....

Ashlee Shin
Born in Los Angeles, California in 1990.08.30.
I came back to Korea when infant! And ever since I lived in Korea. I attended Korean elementary school, and transferred to small foreign school at my hometown, called Jeonbuk Foreign School. Then I came to TCIS during the second semester of 8th grade. Currently I am a dorm student, at Stone dorm.
I love milk… and….. I love my life just the way it is, assignments pouring down on me as if I’m standing in the middle of the sea shore with waves!:)
Last thing, I would like to make my senior year the most memorable year at TCIS.
