The most influential medium for me is music. I enjoy listening to Neo Punk or Emo- band music because their melody and lyrics are so compelling. They often convey a feeling of revolt and aggression which I always wanted to shout out to the world. Due to the exposure to this particular music, my eyes opened to the dark side of the world. I realized that the world was not so pure after all; it was full of deterioration and vice.
It may sound ironic but listening to their violent language and shrieks gave me peace of mind. I think Neo punk and Emo style of music is especially appealing because it statisfies the essential human desire of revolution or disobidience. Also, the fact that I was an emotional teenager when I first listened to Neo-Punk may explain why I was particulary attracted to it.
